Going through another pile of old Straits Times today, I found a little nugget extracted by the newspaper from the 2010 Singapore census released by the Department of Statistics on August 31.
The Straits Times called it a “puzzle”.
“44,883 residents do not live in HDB homes, condominiums or landed property.”
I think I might have an explanation. Perhaps this group of almost 50,000 residents belong to the same coterie as the poor old man whom I wrote about here and here?
Food for thought? Or a reality that causes indigestion to those who promised us more good years?
